Our Work
The Institute for Mindful Agriculture is a new initiative founded on nearly 30 years of experience in practical agriculture, farm-based education and action research. Our intention is to help shape a new agricultural narrative through our work. We:
Research: Document, bring together, and analyze aspects of a new agricultural paradigm that are emerging from multiple sources, traditions and impulses
Convene: Bring together a diverse group of people to think together on the future of agriculture, and encourage ongoing learning communities
Provide Learning Opportunities: Hold workshops, courses, and events, and create new curricula for mindful farmer training
Publish: Share our work through writings and talks
Act: Undertake projects that improve our social and ecological landscape
We hope you will join us by:
- Reading our essays and writings
- Participating in our workshops, courses and trainings
- Writing to us and sharing your concerns, questions and issues
- Alerting us to where you are seeing parts of this new agricultural story emerge
Together, we can gather the clarity of purpose and strength of conviction to bring this new form of agriculture into being.
